The dish has a flared mouth, a shallow curved body, a flat base, and a short ring foot. The entire piece is decorated with underglaze blue designs: the center features a single spray of gardenia, while the interior wall is adorned with four sprays of fruiting branches—lotus pods, pomegranates, persimmons, and grapes. The exterior wall is painted with seven blooming roses on a scrolling vine, bordered above and below by six underglaze blue lines. The areas not covered by the blue designs are filled with a vibrant yellow glaze. The body is uniformly thick, and the underglaze blue appears relatively dark with purplish-gray tones, while the yellow glaze exhibits a bright and lustrous color. The base is coated with white glaze and bears an underglaze blue inscription: “Made in the Hongzhi Era of the Great Ming,” enclosed within a double circle.
