Guanyin Vase

Guanyin Vase:One of the popular vase styles during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty, it features a flared mouth, a short neck, a sloping shoulder, and a gracefully tapered body with smooth, inward-curving lines below the shoulder, resting on a shallow ring foot. The slender and elegant form of the vase resembles the flowing contours associated with the Bodhisattva Guanyin, hence its name.

(Note: “Guanyin” refers to the Buddhist deity of compassion, and the vase’s graceful shape is thought to evoke her serene and flowing imagery. The translation retains the cultural reference while clearly describing the form.)
