Definition of Porcelain: Porcelain refers to objects made from petuntse and kaolin clay, fired at high temperatures between 1200°C and 1300°C.
First, the body material of porcelain must be ceramic clay. After high-temperature firing, the body becomes white, translucent or semi-translucent, with a water absorption rate of less than 0.05% or none at all.
Second, the body of porcelain must be fired at high temperatures between 1200°C and 1300°C. In Jingdezhen, the firing temperature can reach over 1330°C.
Third, the glaze applied to the surface of porcelain must be a vitreous glaze that is fired at high temperatures along with the porcelain itself.
